Every day, rescuers from the Sheptytsky Rescue Station survey the Western Bug River in areas where swans gather and free them from the ice trap.
Rescuers make efforts to ensure the safety of birds that find themselves in danger due to the freezing of the water body. They regularly check the condition of the river and assist swans that cannot escape the ice on their own. “We are doing everything we can to save each bird,” said one of the rescuers. This work is important for preserving the swan population in the region.
