A tragic road accident occurred in the Lviv region on January 29 at approximately 2:10 PM between the villages of Chanyzh and Perevolochyna in the Zolochiv district. As a result of the collision between a Range Rover, driven by a 41-year-old local resident, and a bicycle ridden by a 51-year-old woman from the same district, the latter died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Currently, law enforcement is investigating the circumstances of the accident. For traffic rule violations leading to fatal outcomes, the investigators have opened a criminal case under part two of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions of this article include imprisonment for a term from three to eight years with possible driving rights suspension for up to three years.
