MISTO app with key city services launched in Lviv

A new mobile app, MISTO, has been unveiled in Lviv, bringing together key city services and up-to-date information for residents in a single digital solution. From now on, with just a few taps on a smartphone, users can pay for parking, track public transport in real time, find the nearest shelter, book an appointment at the Administrative Services Centre (TsNAP), check electricity outage schedules and keep up with the latest city news. The launch was announced by Lviv City Council.

As explained during the presentation, the app is intended to become a single access point to Lviv's digital services. Previously, residents had to use different websites and platforms for transport, parking or administrative services; now the most popular features are collected in one interface.

«We want the city to become more convenient for people. Digital services should save residents' time and make interaction with the city simpler. We also plan to add new services: integration with the e-ticket system, parking fines, various petitions and voting tools, additional information maps and more,» says Olena Hunko, Deputy for Digital Transformation (CDTO) of Lviv City Council.

Among the features already available to MISTO users:

  • hourly parking payments;
  • real-time public transport tracking;
  • air raid alerts and a map of shelters;
  • viewing electricity outage schedules;
  • reminders for the minute of silence;
  • online booking for TsNAP;
  • participation in city surveys;
  • access to important news and announcements;
  • a tourist map of the city;
  • weather forecast and air quality indicators.

According to the project team, the platform's architecture makes it possible to gradually expand the list of services and connect new integrations in line with the community's needs.

MISTO CEO Anton Maksymenko stressed that the launch of the app should make residents' everyday interaction with municipal services significantly simpler and faster.

The MISTO app is already available for download on the App Store and Google Play. The project was implemented without using funds from the city budget: the platform's deployment was financed by the development team with the support of international partners.

In addition to Lviv, the MISTO platform has also been rolled out in Bucha, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odesa. The solution is being developed by the company “ROK AY TI” with the support of the international organisation Bloomberg.
