Loss in the Striy Community: A Young Defender of Ukraine has Died after Service

The Striy community has lost its hero, Senior Soldier Yuriy Kildyakov, who died in a car accident while returning home after military service.

Yuriy Kildyakov, born on April 18, 1995, in the city of Striy, served in the border service unit “Lviv” (type C) of the third category as an inspector of the border service of the Carpathian detachment. He spent his school years at the local school No. 7 and received an artistic education at the Striy Higher Art School. During the full-scale war, Yuriy was mobilized and actively participated in the defense of Ukraine’s borders in various directions.

For his contribution to the defense of Ukraine, Yuriy received several awards, including the President of Ukraine’s distinction “For the Defense of Ukraine,” as well as a certificate for high professionalism and a badge “For Courage in Defense of the State Border” from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The community and loved ones express deep condolences to Yuriy’s family, who is survived by his wife and seven-month-old child, as well as parents, grandmother, sister, nephews, and friends. They have all lost a loved one who will always remain in their hearts.

A memorial service for Yuriy Kildyakov will be held today, January 26, at 19:00 in the Church of All Saints of the Ukrainian People. Eternal glory and memory to the true Defender!
