Ordering a paper certificate of conviction is now available online.
Until recently, this service had to be obtained in person (or through a legal representative) – physically at the Ministry of Internal Affairs office in Kyiv. Today, just a few clicks – and a certificate of the presence or absence of a conviction, including with an apostille, is already being prepared for you.
How does it work?
- authorize via the ‘Single Window for Citizens’ https://services.mvs.gov.ua or in the ‘Diia’ app
- fill out the electronic form
- select ‘paper certificate’
- choose a convenient delivery method: at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the nearest branch of Ukrposhta, or by courier delivery.
In the ‘Single Window for Citizens’ on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website, you can order a certificate of conviction with or without an apostille. The processing time for the certificate is up to 30 days, if an apostille is needed – it’s an additional 5 days waiting. The entire process can be tracked online.
This is one of the most popular services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: just this year, Ukrainians have already ordered more than 44,000 paper certificates, of which over 33,500 with an apostille. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, continues to digitize services so that each service is as simple and accessible as possible.
