67 athletes gathered in Horodok for preparation for international taekwondo competitions.
On November 2, at the premises of the CU ‘Center ‘Sport for All”, a training camp for Taekwondo WTF under the guidance of the senior coach of the national team of Ukraine, Nazarii Kotyash, took place. The event became an important stage in the preparation for a series of prestigious tournaments: the European Championships among children (Athens, Greece), cadets (Athens, Greece), and youth (Pristina, Kosovo).
At the Horodok training ground, 67 athletes of various age groups and from many corners of Ukraine: Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Ternopil, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv regions were building strength, willpower, and honing their skills. Horodok has been and remains a place where the future elite of taekwondo is forged! We are proud, supportive, and rooting for them!
Nazar Kotyash: “The main task in organizing the camp was the search and selection of the necessary sparring partners for preparing athletes for the European Championship.” We worked with some of them for a week, so I thank the coaches for their trust, for allowing us to mutually enrich and improve our skills. I also thank the leadership of the NGO SC SHOT ‘Favorit’, CU ‘Center ‘Sport for All”, and the separate division of the NGO ‘Federation of Taekwondo (WTF) of Ukraine’ in the Lviv region. A personal thanks to the Mayor Volodymyr Remenyak for comprehensive support and assistance. During this camp, we managed to conduct training sparrings among beginners who are participating for the first time in such an event.”
