The athlete from Lviv Region, Alina Dmytruk, won a bronze medal at the World Fencing Championship for Cadets held in Rio de Janeiro. In the semi-final, she was defeated by her opponent from Hungary with a score of 15:12.
This is the second consecutive year that Alina has reached the podium in this category. In 2025, she won silver at the World Championship in Usi, and this time she secured bronze in Rio 2026. Thus, her collection now includes a complete set of medals from the Cadet World Championship.
Alina Dmytruk is a representative of the Regional Centre for Olympic Preparation and the “Dynamo” Sports Society. She trains under the guidance of Ukraine’s honoured coaches Andriy Orlikovsky and Zoryana Semeryak.
