Lviv native Alla Belinska became the world champion in freestyle wrestling in the 72 kg weight category.
A graduate of the Lviv Regional Council’s municipal institution ‘School of Higher Sports Mastery’, she won the final match against Euro-2025 silver medalist Nesrin Bas. ‘Thanks to this victory, Alla Belinska won the first gold medal for Ukraine at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships. For Alla, this is the first world gold medal in her career’, noted the municipal institution.
The World Freestyle Wrestling Championship is taking place in Zagreb, Croatia.
