The European Trap Shooting Championships started on 15 May in Lonato, Italy, and will run until 27 May.
More than 440 representatives from 42 countries of the continent take part in the competition.
Andrii Kobzaruk, an athlete from Lviv region, won a bronze medal in the skeet event.
The shooter represents the Olympic Training Centre for Trap Shooting and is coached by Vitalii Hrybovskyi and Serhii Tiurtiubek.
We would like to add that the day before, Olena Okhotska and Nadiia Bulgakova from Lviv became European champions in the triple jump discipline.
“Skeet shooting differs from trench shooting in that the targets appear from only two points – windows in the booths, and the targets are released at different heights. Competitions at the round stand have been included in the Olympic Games programme since 1968,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
