Athletes and coaches in the Lviv region have received over one million UAH for their sports achievements.
The funds were awarded to 50 athletes and 39 coaches who successfully competed in international and national competitions in the first quarter of 2025. They represent eight sports: freestyle wrestling, cycling, athletics, archery, boxing, shooting, fencing, and para-skiing.
The awards were allocated according to the order of the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration dated September 21, 2022, No. 368/0/5-22VA “On the assignment and payment of financial rewards to the athletes of the Lviv region and their coaches.” The total amount in payouts reached 1,062,500 UAH.
“We thank our athletes and coaches for representing the Lviv region at a high level both nationally and internationally. Sports infrastructure, opportunities for quality training, and the understanding that their work is valued collectively yield results,” commented Roman Khimyak, Head of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
