On 15–16 May, the second stage of the Open Cup of the Lviv Regional Boxing Federation among boys and juniors took place in Mostyska. Participants, including the top boxers from various parts of the Lviv region, showcased an exceptional level of preparation and a strong desire for victory.
Athletes from Sports School No. 2 of the Sheptytsky City Council made a notable impression at the competition. Five representatives earned commendable awards:
- Davyid Horbunov — 1st place
- Nazariy Koval — 1st place
- Mykhailo Malytskyi — 2nd place
- Artem Slavych — 2nd place
- Ostap Boyanetskyi — 3rd place
The boxers train under the guidance of the Honoured Coach of Ukraine Ivan Pavlovych Khomyak, Viktor Antipov, Vasyl Derkach, and Ivan Khomyak.
This stage served as a qualifier for the All-Ukrainian Boxing Tournament, which will take place from 6–14 June in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, where Ukraine’s strongest boxers will compete.
