At the U15 European Wrestling Championship in Italy, Ukrainian female wrestlers won medals.
The championship took place in Castel Fidardo, where Ukrainian athletes won 14 medals in three types of wrestling. The women’s team took first place in the team standings, freestyle wrestling among boys took third place, and Greco-Roman wrestling took fourth in the team standings.
Lviv region was represented by seven participants, three of whom won medals. The women’s team, led by coach Orest Skobelsky, took first place in the team standings.
Awards for athletes from Lviv region: Yulia Golgovska won the gold medal in the 54 kg weight category, Ivanna Maidanska won the silver medal in the 42 kg weight category, and Teresa Tkachyshyn won the bronze medal in the 50 kg weight category.
