The Ukrainian women’s freestyle wrestling championship took place in Khmelnytskyi on 13-14 September. Twenty teams from different regions competed for awards. Among the hundred participants were 15 athletes from the Lviv region.
This was reported by the Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
AWARDS OF WRESTLERS FROM LVIV REGION:
🥇Khomenets Oleksandra – 1st place in the weight category up to 55 kg
🥈Belinska Alla – 2nd place in the weight category up to 72 kg
🥉Rillya Albina – 3rd place in the weight category up to 50 kg
🥉Nemish Maria – 3rd place in the weight category up to 53 kg
🥉Borysenko Tetiana – 3rd place in the weight category up to 57 kg
🥉Skobelska Manola – 3rd place in the weight category up to 68 kg
🥉Klefas Albina – 3rd place in the weight category up to 59 kg
🥉Yakovleva Anita – 3rd place in the weight category up to 65 kg
“Congratulations to the athletes and coaches on their medals. Not only did our wrestlers win individual awards, but they also took first place in the team competition. This once again emphasises how strong the freestyle wrestling school is in Lviv region,” says Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
