Thanks to their joint efforts, the Ukrainian national team won 52 medals and took second place in the overall team at the World Championships.
The Lviv region jiu-jitsu team successfully represented Ukraine at the U16-U18-U21 World Championships, returning with impressive results. As part of the national team, our athletes won five awards, confirming the high level of the Lviv martial arts school.
Anna Torkoniak became the world champion among U18 juniors in the No Gi category and won bronze in the Gi category. Maria Tokmakova won silver among U16 cadets in both the Gi and No Gi categories.
Yevheniia Zhupanin won a silver medal in the U16 No Gi category.
Artem Novikov won a bronze medal among U18 juniors in the No Gi category.
Denys Odizhynskyi won a bronze medal in the U21 No Gi category.
They are coached by Anton Maksymov (FIRM JIU-JITSU club / Lviv Regional Jiu-Jitsu Federation).
