The Ukrainian Boxing Championship among men and women in the elite age group has concluded in Rivne. The competition, held from 21 to 28 June, brought together more than 200 participants from all regions of the country. The athletes were competing not only for medals, but also for the chance to earn a place in the Ukrainian national team for appearances at international tournaments.
Among the medallists of the national championship was Vitalii Hlavach, a boxer from the Patriot sports club in Stebnyk, who represented the Drohobych community. In the under-80 kg weight category, he demonstrated a high level of preparation and strong character, which enabled him to claim the championship bronze medal.
In the Drohobych community, they note that this result is the outcome of the athlete’s persistent training and the well-coordinated work of his coaches – Anatolii Hnatkiv, Oleh Komar and Vasyl Shan.
Vitalii Hlavach and his coaches are wished continued success at prestigious competitions and new achievements that will further promote the Drohobych community and Ukraine on the sporting map.
