Year 10 pupil at Dobrohostiv School Diana Shchudlo has become the Ukrainian champion in classic powerlifting among pupils of youth sports schools. The competition took place on Friday, 30 October, in the city of Kolomyia, where the young athlete represented Dobrohostiv School and the Truskavets community.
Diana is a scholarship holder of the city mayor and trains under the guidance of PE teacher and coach Mykola Kotormus. At the championship she achieved a total result in the three lifts of 320 kg.
Her performance consisted of three exercises:
- squat — 130 kg;
- bench press — 57.5 kg;
- deadlift — 132.5 kg.
Thanks to these results, Diana Shchudlo claimed the title of Ukrainian champion and confirmed the high level of training of the young athletes of Dobrohostiv School.
