The pupils of sports clubs and sections that operate on the basis of the I. Bobersky Children’s and Youth Sports School and sports clubs of the community demonstrate a high level of training and win competitions not only at the regional, but also at the national and even international levels.
Mariana Shostak, a 23-year-old athlete, a native of Drohobych and a graduate of the I. Bobersky Children’s and Youth Sports School, has won another victory. Mariana studied at Drohobych Lyceum #2 and later at the Lviv Professional College of Sports.
The Czech city of Nove Mesto hosted international athletics competitions of the “bronze” level as part of the world tour. Mariana Shostak from Drohobych became the winner with a time of 52.51 seconds in the 400 meters.
The athlete is now actively preparing to represent Ukraine at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as part of the 4×400 meter relay team.
On Wednesday, July 24, Drohobych Mayor Taras Kuchma and his deputy for humanitarian and social relations Yuriy Kushlyk congratulated Mariana via video and wished her success in the upcoming competitions.

And, of course, we are waiting for you at home with the victory,” – the officials congratulated the athlete.
