On April 25-27, the Kickboxing Championship of Ukraine (ISKA) among young men, youth and adults took place in Kyiv. More than 500 athletes from 19 regions of Ukraine took part in the competition.
The Drohobytsk territorial community was represented by pupils of the local sports club “Antey” under the leadership of coach Andriy Shevchuk and Stebnytskyi sports club “Patriot”, coach Anatolii Hnatkiv.
Kickboxing competitions took place from various directions, which are widely represented in this sport today: “semi contact”, “light contact”, “full contact”, “low kick contact”, as well as formal exercises with and without sports weapons.
During the competition, students of “Antey” SC from Drohobytsk won and won prizes in the following sections:
– section “self-defense without weapons”:
Anna Truten – 2nd place;
– “formal exercises” section:
Oleksiy Voytovych – 1st place;
Ostap Tershak – 1st place;
Natalia Fedurko – 1st place;
– “light contact” section:
Markiyan Gilevich – 1st place;
Svyatoslav Koval – 3rd place;
Oleg Ilkiv – 3rd place;
– “semi contact” section:
Vitaly Stakhiv – 1st place.
Pupils of the “Patriot” sports club in Stebnik also returned home with awards. Young wrestlers brought gold medals in the “full contact” section, among the winners:
– Nazar Sadovyak – 1st place;
– Bohdan Kot – 1st place;
– Vitaly Hlavach – 1st place.
