From February 1 to 5, Lviv hosted track competitions that kicked off the 2024 cycling season.
The Ukrainian Championship in the multi-day race – tempo, time trial, and gyro sprint among men, women, boys, and girls. The competition was attended by 150 athletes and 16 teams from different parts of Ukraine.
The cycling team of Drohobych Sports School “Medik” was represented by 7 athletes. Nazar Pavych from Drohobych was among the top ten athletes of the Ukrainian Championship among adults, and Artur Stetsiv among young men.
Anastasia Saturova, a pupil of the Drohobych Sports School “Medic”, won the 2nd place and a silver medal of the championship in a multi-day time trial among girls after seven stages. The Drohobych girl was very close to victory, as the first and second places were separated by only 3 points.
We congratulate Anastasia and her coaches on the good result and wish the team further victories. The cyclists from Drohobych have already begun to prepare for the next competition.
