
The Drohobych resident Volodymyr Kunytskyi made a name for himself at the Ukrainian Wushu Championship, which took place in the city of Brovary in the Kyiv region. The competition, held from 9 to 12 March, brought together athletes from various parts of the country, all vying for a spot on the national team. This was reported by the Drohobych City Council.
Kunytskyi, competing in the 15-17 age category, won a silver medal in the staff section and secured a bronze medal in the barehanded category. These achievements have granted him the opportunity to represent Ukraine at the European Championship, set to take place in May 2026 in France.
