Athletes from Lviv region brought home two medals from the European Junior 10m and 25m Shooting Championships for under-18s, which took place in Tallinn. The tournament featured 107 participants from 15 countries.
Yuliia Isachenko became European champion in the team 25m small-bore pistol event. The Ukrainian national team, which included Yuliia, Anna Avramova from Chernihiv region and Karina Zaichenko from Vinnytsia region, delivered the best result in this discipline.
Yuliia won another medal together with Rostyslav Mozil. The shooters from Lviv took second place in the mixed pairs 25m small-bore pistol competition. In the final, the Ukrainian duo lost out to the team from Hungary, while representatives of Estonia claimed the bronze medals.
Yuliia Isachenko and Rostyslav Mozil represent the Dynamo sports society and are trainees of the Dmytro Sydoruk Children and Youth Sports School (KDYUSSH). They are coached by Volodymyr Ivanchuk and Oleh Hazhula.
