Judokas from Lviv region won two awards at the Ukrainian Judo Championship for cadets under the age of 18, which took place in Uzhgorod.
Athletes from Lviv region won two medals: Maksym Habelok won the ‘gold’ in the weight category up to 50 kg. He managed to defeat his opponent in the fight for the first place thanks to a scored throw. With this result, Maksym met the standard for Master of Sports of Ukraine!
Vitalii Lykhogliad took third place in the weight category up to 55 kg. In the bronze final, he managed to defeat an opponent from Kyiv in 8 seconds thanks to a clean ippon throw.
‘Both judokas study at the Lviv Vocational College of Sports, coached by Vladyslav Drobot. Vitalii Lykhogliad also represents the regional Olympic Training Center,’ says the director of the sports, youth and tourism department of the Lviv Regional State Administration Roman Khimiak.
