Lviv’s women’s handball club “Halychanka” continues to dominate, securing their eighth Ukrainian Cup victory and completing the season with yet another golden double.
This year’s Women’s Ukrainian Handball Cup finals were held in Uzhhorod. In the semifinal, the team led by head coach Vitalii Andronov faced Kyiv’s “Spartak” and won confidently, 28:21. In the final match, Halychanka clashed with Uzhhorod’s “Karpaty” in what is considered the top women’s handball derby in Ukraine. The Lviv team triumphed with a commanding 34:24 score.
Milana Shukal was the standout player of the final, scoring 10 goals and becoming the top scorer of the match.
