In the Lviv Region, a rhythmic gymnastics competition was held where, over the course of 25-26 March, young athletes vied for the title of regional champions. The event was organised to select the regional team for participation in the Ukrainian championship. Nearly 100 gymnasts took part in the tournament.
As a result of the competition, Yulia Obukh (SDYUSSHOR No. 1) claimed victory, trained by Kateryna Sorokovska and Iryna Ivaniv. The second place was taken by Anastasiya Shcheletska from the same school under the guidance of Khrystyna Tarasyak. The third place went to Anna-Maria Yakymiv, also coached by Sorokovska and Ivaniv.
In individual exercises, the following results were achieved: Yulia Obukh was the strongest in the hoop exercise; Obukh also led in the ball exercise, while Anastasiya Shcheletska excelled in the clubs exercise. Shcheletska also won in the ribbon exercise.
