Ivan Dancha to Defend ABO Title Against Cody Wilson in the USA
On April 19, Ukrainian boxer Ivan Dancha will step into the professional ring for the seventh time. The 30-year-old native of Yastrubychi, Sheptytskyi district, will defend his ABO super welterweight (69.85 kg) title for the first time since winning it in October 2023. His opponent will be 30-year-old American Cody Wilson.
This fight will be Dancha’s first scheduled 8-round bout, as his previous three fights were set for 6 rounds.
The event will take place at the familiar “Meadows Racetrack & Casino,” where Dancha has already fought four times, including three consecutive bouts.
According to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine’s Lviv branch, Dancha has a professional record of 5 wins (3 by knockout) and 1 loss. His opponent, Cody Wilson, has more experience with 14 wins (9 by knockout) and 4 losses.
