The team from Lviv Region took first place, followed by tourists from Zhytomyr Region, and Kyiv.
The team from Lviv region is the strongest at the Ukrainian water tourism championship
The team championship of Ukraine in the discipline of sports tourism – water tourism – took place in the village of Sokilets in Vinnytsia region from 2 to 6 October. Representatives from eight regions of Ukraine competed on the Southern Bug River.
The team from Lviv region took first place, followed by tourists from Zhytomyr region, and Kyiv.
The team from Lviv region consisted of the following members: Vitaliy Branets, Vadym Horlov, Volodymyr Skarysh, Ihor Pushkar, Vasyl Shtapinets, and Ilya Horlov. Vadym Horlov was also the team’s coach.
“The competition was held in three stages: team slalom (covering the distance with gates), sprint relay and rally relay,” says Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
It should be added that at the championship, Horlov fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports of Ukraine.
