Archers from Lviv region achieved victories at the Ukrainian Archery Cup.
The Ukrainian Archery Cup took place in Chernivtsi from October 6 to 9, gathering over 160 participants. Representatives from Lviv region won medals in both individual and team events.
Individual Awards:
- Dzvenyslava Chernyk became a silver medalist in the women’s individual category.
- The duo of Serhiy Makarevych and Veronika Marchenko won bronze in the mixed team discipline.
- Sviatoslav Karpenko secured the title of final Ukrainian Cup winner in the compound bow division.
- Silver in mixed teams was claimed by Sviatoslav Karpenko and Kseniya Antonova.
Team Competition Awards:
- Veronika Marchenko, Dzvenyslava Chernyk, and Solomiya Hnyp from Lviv were the winners of the Ukrainian Cup final among women.
- The men’s team consisting of Serhiy Makarevych, Serhiy Senyura, and Kostiantyn Vaksman won bronze.
- The women’s team in the compound bow division reached the top step of the podium.
- Silver among men’s teams in compound bow archery was claimed by Sviatoslav Karpenko, Serhiy Karpenko, and Yuriy Havelko.
- Bronze was won by Serhiy Kushniruk, Pavlo Luchkiv, and Serhiy Shymchak.
“Archery is a quite versatile and popular sport that can be practiced by people of different ages and health conditions. As part of the ‘Unbroken League’ project, we organize adaptive archery training available, in particular, for people with amputations. It’s one of the most sought-after sports chosen by war veterans,” notes Roman Khimyak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
