Lviv athlete Pavlo Bal won the third place at the biathlon and cross-country skiing world championships.
From January 21 to 29, the world championship in biathlon and cross-country skiing among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders will be held in Östersund, Sweden. On the second day of the competition, Pavlo Bal from Lviv won a bronze medal for Ukraine in the 18 km ski race.
In general, Lviv will be represented by two titled athletes at this competition: Vasyl Kravchuk and Pavlo Bal.

Pavlo Bal is a two-time world champion. In 2022, Pavlo won a gold medal at the World Biathlon Championships in Lillehammer, Norway, in an individual race of 12.5 km. Another gold medal of Pavel is in ski races. Pavlo Bahl in the team together with Lyudmila Lyashenko and Taras Rad took first place in the 4 x 2.5 km mixed mixed relay.
