At the end of the year, the department of sports, youth, and tourism of Lviv region, together with the regional federation of rhythmic gymnastics, recognized the best athletes for the results of 2025.
Awards were given to 29 gymnasts who won 97 medals at the championships and Cups of Ukraine, as well as 6 medals at the World Universiade. “This year has been very successful for the gymnasts of Lviv region. They won 97 medals at the championships and Cups of Ukraine, 6 medals at the World Universiade. Also this year, 11 gymnasts of the region received the title ‘Master of Sports of Ukraine’, and more than 50 became candidates for the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine. Fourteen graces were included in the national team of Ukraine for 2026», said the director of the department Roman Khimiak.
Among those honored: the junior team, which won gold at the Ukrainian championship in group exercises, and individual winners such as Diana Pylypchuk and Melania Perederiy. In the program for Masters of Sports of Ukraine, Sniizhana Oshchipko and Veronika Skrygina were recognized, among others. Marta Borys and Bohdana Melnyk brought back 2 golds and 4 silvers from the World Universiade.
