Lviv wrestler Yulia Tkach took third place at the European Championships in Bucharest, Romania.
In the bronze medal final (62 kg category), the Lviv woman defeated her opponent from Sweden, Johanna Lindborg, 8:6.
Prior to that, in the 1/8 finals, Yulia fought Ebru Dagbasi from Turkey and managed to defeat her. In the quarter-finals, the wrestler lost to Germany’s Luisa Nemesch, so the German reached the final, and Yulia got a chance to compete for a bronze medal.
As a reminder, the European Championships in three types of wrestling are taking place in Bucharest. Lviv is represented at these competitions by Yulia Tkach, Oksana Livach and Oleksii Domanytskyi. All of them will compete in freestyle wrestling.
