Lviv canoeist Valeriia Tereta took third place at the World Canoeing Championships. The girl competed in the women’s single sculls at a distance of 5000 metres.
The World Canoeing Championships took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. In total, the Ukrainian national team won two gold and two bronze medals at the competition, finishing fifth in the overall medal standings.
One of the bronze medals went to Valeriia Tereta from Lviv. The canoeist finished third in the women’s 5000m singles. In the race, Valeriia lost only 16 seconds to Germany’s Annika Loske.
We would like to remind you that Valeriia Tereta is a student of Mykhailo Potsiurko and Volodymyr Dets, a student of the Lviv Professional College of Sports. She trains at the Veslyaryk Sports School.
