
The football team ‘KOPA’ from Lviv won the World Cup in football among children under guardianship.
As reported by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, the team included wards from the Lviv Orphan Care Center. This title has been secured by Ukrainian players for the third time. The tournament took place in Warsaw, where 24 teams from different parts of the world competed.
“In the final match, the Ukrainian team faced Slovakia. Regular time ended with a score of 2:2, but in the penalty shootout, the Ukrainians clinched victory – 4:3 💪 Boys, Lviv region is proud of you. You are our pride! Thank you for once again making Ukraine resonate loudly on the international stage”, noted the head of the region.
