Lviv Acrobats Triumph at Ukraine Sports Acrobatics Championship
From March 12-17, 2025, the Ukrainian Sports Acrobatics Championship for adults was held in Vinnytsia. The competition featured 124 athletes from 7 regions of Ukraine (teams from 6 oblasts and Kyiv).
Success of Lviv Athletes
“The Lviv Oblast team was represented by 6 groups: a men’s group, three mixed pairs, a women’s pair, and a women’s group. These are pupils from the children’s sports schools of V. Chukarin, I. Bobersky LDUFK, and I. Bobersky in Drohobych,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the department of sports, youth, and tourism of the Lviv Regional Administration.
The men’s group became the absolute champions of Ukraine for the eighth time, winning the title of honored masters of sport of Ukraine, international-class masters of sport, and members of the national team, consisting of Yuriy Savka, Yuriy Push, Taras Yarush, and Stanislav Kukurudz (personal coach – Honored Trainer of Ukraine, gymnastics department lecturer, Kostiantyn Kukurudz, trainers – Honored Trainers of Ukraine, Angela Boiko, Galyna Benko). The second and third places were secured by teams from Vinnytsia and Kyiv, respectively.
The men’s group took first place both in the all-around and in two final exercises – balance and dynamic, leaving the quartets from Vinnytsia and Kyiv in second and third places.
Mixed Pairs and Other Achievements
Absolute champions of Ukraine in the mixed pairs competition were members of the national team, international-class masters of sport, Anastasiia Semenovych and Bohdan Ivanyk from Drohobych (personal coaches – Zhanna Zhuta, Oksana Zhuta, choreographer Serhiy Dmytriyev).
Finalists (5th place in the all-around) were candidates for the masters of sport of Ukraine – mixed pair Anastasiia Hrynko and Bohdan Pyshkovych (personal coaches – Honored Physical Culture Workers, gymnastics department docent Alina Senytsia, senior gymnastics department lecturer Mykhailo Senytsia).
The mixed pair Anastasiia Hrynko, Bohdan Pyshkovych placed fourth in the final dynamic exercise, missing the podium by one place, and sixth place in the final balance exercise.
The women’s pair Anastasiia Trila and Anastasiia Hnatkiv (Drohobych) took third place in the final dynamic exercise.
The finalists included the mixed pair Alisa Pugachova, Maksym Boiko.
