Athletes from Lviv region secured medals at the Ukrainian Judo Championship U16.
The championship was held in Bila Tserkva from September 23 to 27, featuring young boys and girls under 16. The competition saw the participation of 487 athletes from all regions of the country. Lviv region was represented by 20 judokas who achieved a set of awards.
Awards for athletes from Lviv region: Vitaliy Lykhoglyad — Ukrainian champion in the under 50 kg category; Artem Kositskyi — silver medalist in the under 46 kg category; Maksym Hebelok — bronze medalist in the under 46 kg category.
“All three medalists train judo at SC ‘Lion’, coached by Vladyslav Drebrot”, said Roman Khymyak, director of the department of sports, youth, and tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
