Athletes from the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “KZ LOR ‘Lviv Vocational Sports College'” delivered a strong performance at the international judo tournament Cracow Judo Open 2026, held in Kraków.
In the U-18 cadet competition, Zakhar Hunder won a bronze medal in the under-73 kg weight category, while Artem Kositskyi took third place in the under-60 kg division. Another representative of the Lviv team, Nazar Moroz, finished just short of the podium, placing fifth in the under-55 kg category.
The athletes were prepared for the tournament by coach Vladyslav Drebot. The institution notes that the performance in Kraków was an important stage in the competition season for the young judoka.
“The lads showed good fighting spirit and character. Two bronzes at an international tournament is a worthy result, especially given the strong competition. We will keep working,” the institution commented.
