In Khmelnytskyi on January 17-18, the Ukrainian Junior Fencing Championship (épée) was held.
In the individual competitions among junior women, Anna Maksymenko took 1st place, and Alina Dmytruk took 2nd place. The athletes represent the Olympic Training Center (ShVSM). They are coached by Andriy Orlikovsky and Zoryana Semeryak.
Valeria Bilous-Hridzhak placed 5th (Youth Sports School “Atlet” and FSO “Dynamo”, coaches Andriy Orlikovsky, Dyna Panteleyeva). Viktoriya Milyavska placed 6th (Youth Sports School “Atlet” and FSO “Dynamo”, coaches Andriy Orlikovsky, Zoryana Semeryak).
The Lviv region team won 1st place in team competitions with members Anna Maksymenko, Valeria Bilous-Hridzhak, Polina Spyridonova, Sofia Makhlay-Shemyakina. 3rd place was taken by Yelyzaveta-Olha Korniychuk, Viktoriya Milyavska, Angelina Chorna.
In the individual competitions among junior men, the best performer was Maksym Hula — he placed 6th. Maksym represents the Olympic Training Center, his coaches being Andriy Orlikovsky and Zoryana Semeryak. Lviv region’s team, comprising Maksym Hula, Oleksa Artsyshevskyi, Anatoliy Savka, and Mark-Yuriy Tsyhyl, also placed 6th in team competitions.

By the way, the female fencers from Lviv have celebrated victory in the team competitions among girls for the seventh consecutive championship”, noted Roman Khimyak, the director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
