During the junior championship of Ukraine in fencing with foils, teams from Lviv region demonstrated outstanding results. In the final, two Lviv teams competed, where “Lviv 1” outperformed “Lviv 2” with a score of 45:37. The outstanding athletes of the “Lviv 1” team – Alina Dmytruk, Valeriia Bilois-Hridzhak, Polina Spyridonova, and Anna Maksimenko, showcased their high level of skill throughout all stages of the tournament.
Along the way to the finals, the “Lviv 1” team also defeated the Transcarpathian team with a score of 45:28 and the “Lviv 3” team with a score of 45:31, where Zlata Haiduk, Sofia Makhlai-Shemiakina, Yelyzaveta Stepnova, and Anhelina Chorna competed.
In the youth category, two teams from Lviv region also made it to the podium. The “Lviv 1” team took second place, losing to the team from Kyiv, while “Lviv 2” secured third place.
Astonishing Victory in Individual Competitions
It is worth mentioning the remarkable individual achievements of our athletes at the same competition, where Anna Maksimenko won a gold medal, Anatolii Savka – a silver medal, and Maksym Hula – a bronze medal. Lviv fencers confirmed their high level ahead of international competitions.
