Lviv Handball Players Win Gold at the Ukrainian Championship
In Uzhgorod, from March 28 to March 30, the final game day of the second stage of the competition took place, where the fate of the gold medals of the Ukrainian Handball Championship among girls born in 2008-2009 was decided.
Lviv Region’s Victory
For the \”gold\”, the players of the Lviv Regional Team LFCS competed against the team \”KSL\” (Kyiv). In the decisive match, the Lviv team defeated their opponents with a score of 33:28 and won the gold medals.

- KSL Kyiv – 23 pts.
- SDYUSSHOR Uzhgorod – 20 pts.
- KOSFK Kyiv Region – 13 pts.
- KDYUSSH Ternopil – 6 pts.
- KDYUSSH “Barsa” Shostka – 0 pts.
Individual awards for the best players were given to two athletes from the Lviv Regional Team LFCS: Angelina Prokopets – best left back, and Kateryna Nazarenko – best left wing.
Coach and Sports Department’s Feedback
The team’s head coach Vitaliy Nadych noted: \”The championship was very tough, all three teams (competing for the prizes) were strong. No one wanted to give up the first place. But our girls were stronger and deserved the gold medals, which I congratulate them on.\”
