Oleh Rybak and Maksym Kovalchuk, pentathletes from Lviv region, have been awarded the title of International Class Masters of Sports of Ukraine.
This title was granted to them for their successful performance at the U19 Modern Pentathlon World Championship, which took place in August in Lithuania. There, Oleh Rybak and Maksym Kovalchuk became world champions in the team discipline. Oleh Rybak also won silver in the individual competition.
“Oleh Rybak is a representative of the Comprehensive Children’s and Youth Sports School 1. He is coached by Oleh Fialkovych, Vitaliy Tarnakin, Serhiy Stetskovych. Maksym Kovalchuk represents the School of Higher Sports Mastery. His coaches are Oleh Fialkovych, Vitaliy Tarnakin, Andriy Kovalchuk”, said Roman Khimyak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of Lviv Regional State Administration.
