Lviv Para Athletes Won Medals at International Competitions
Athletes from 35 countries participated in the competition, and the Ukrainian national Paralympic team took fourth place in the overall team ranking, winning 38 medals: 17 gold, 14 silver, and 7 bronze.
Performances of Lviv Athletes
Lviv region was represented by three para-athletes who showed very high and worthy results: Roman Mychka, Maryan Kvasnytsia, and Kateryna Tkachuk.
- Kateryna Tkachuk (class S-11):
- 200 m backstroke – 1st place
- 50 m freestyle – 1st place
- 100 m backstroke – 2nd place
- Maryan Kvasnytsia (classes S-7, SB-6):
- 50 m butterfly – 3rd place
- 100 m backstroke – 3rd place
- 100 m breaststroke – 4th place
- Roman Mychka (classes S-12, SB-12):
- 100 m backstroke – 3rd place
- 100 m butterfly – 4th place
- 100 m freestyle – 5th place
- 100 m breaststroke – 6th place
