Para-cyclists from Lviv region performed successfully at the Polish Road Para-cycling Championships, which took place in Rzeszów from 31 July to 2 August. As part of the national team of Ukraine, the region was represented by Pavlo Bal and war veteran Oleh Yordan.
Pavlo Bal became a double winner at the competition. He won gold in the individual time trial over a distance of 14 km, and also finished first in the 42 km road race.
For Oleh Yordan, this was one of his first starts in para-cycling. In his debut performance at the Polish Championships, he took 8th place in the 14 km individual time trial and 10th place in the 42 km road race.
Roman Khimiak, Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, highlighted the combination of experience and debut of the Lviv athletes on the international stage.
