
The Ukrainian Open Water Swimming Championship concluded in Ivano-Frankivsk, where athletes from the Lviv region won the most medals.
The competition was held on July 8 and 10, including distances of 7.5 km, 10 km, and 5 km. Lviv swimmers won 11 medals: 5 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze, which is the best result among all regions of Ukraine.
Four athletes met the Ukrainian Master of Sport standard, and two more became candidates for the master of sport title.
In the 5 km event on July 10, Lviv region secured 6 medals: 2 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze. Pupils of the “DYUSSH named after G. Prokopenko” school, Anastasia Artiukh and Markiyan Borysenko, met the Ukrainian Master of Sport standard. Olga Dudun and Lyubomyr Romanyshyn became candidates for the master of sport title.
Coaches Olga Logovska and Stepan Hula prepared the athletes for successful performances.

- Sofia Lesniak: 1st place among women and juniors, time: 57.41, coach: Serhiy Stetskovych.
- Oleksandr Lukavetsky: 2nd place among men and juniors, time: 54.14, coach: Serhiy Stetskovych.
- Anastasia Artiukh: 2nd place among juniors, 3rd place among women, time: 1:01.04, coaches: Olga Logovska and Stepan Hula.
