Swimmers from the Lviv region became prize-winners of the Winter Ukrainian Championship and the Ukrainian Junior Championship.
The competitions took place in Brovary from December 11th to 13th, bringing together 300 participants from 23 teams. The Lviv region was represented by 10 athletes. Heorhii Lukashev won gold in the 400 m individual medley with a result of 4:22.84 and silver in the 200 m butterfly with a time of 2:01.54. His coaches are Andrii Shymanskyi and Andrii Kopetchak from the Dmitro Sydoruk CYSS.
Sofia Lesniak claimed silver in the 800 m freestyle among women and juniors with a result of 9:13.98. She is trained by Olga Logovskaya and Stepan Hula from the H. Prokopenko CYSS.
Danylo Fylypiv received silver in the 1500 m freestyle among juniors with a time of 16:35.86. Oleh Taras won bronze in the 200 m backstroke with a result of 2:06.86. Both athletes are under the guidance of Andrii Shymanskyi and Andrii Kopetchak.
