In the new, third season of the Lviv School Sports Leagues, Lviv students will have the opportunity to compete in even more sports.
In addition to the usual basketball, volleyball, futsal, cheerleading, athletics and floorball, the school leagues’ programme will include rugby league 5, workout, handball, e-sports and orienteering.
The new season will also see the expansion of age groups to reach even more students. In addition, gender equality will be ensured – girls and boys will have balanced opportunities to participate in all sports.
In total, more than 15,000 schoolchildren are expected to participate this season. Each league covers an average of 1,300 students. The competitions will take place over 10 intense months. The winners of all Lviv school leagues will be determined by 15 May 2025.
Team registration starts on 15 September and will last until 30 October on the official website of the Lviv Sports School Leagues – scl.lviv.ua.
As a reminder, the Lviv School Sports Leagues are integrated into the all-Ukrainian system “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues”. This allows Lviv schoolchildren to participate in national competitions. New horizons are opening up for the winners of the city stage in basketball, volleyball, futsal, orienteering, cheerleading, handball and rugby-5: the regional and, if they win, the national stages.
