
Lviv Karate Athletes Take First Place at Ukrainian Championship
On February 21-22, the Ukrainian Kyokushin Karate Championship among youth and boys/girls born in 2009-2010, as well as the all-Ukrainian tournament among juniors born in 2007-2008, took place at the Lviv Polytechnic Sports Complex.
361 participants from 12 regions competed for awards, representing 35 teams. 173 athletes from Lviv region participated, being part of two regional teams: sports club “KANKU” and Lviv Regional Federation of Kyokushin Karate.
“Karate athletes from Lviv region won 49 medals, including 22 gold 🥇, 11 silver 🥈 and 16 bronze 🥉. These results secured our athletes the top team placement,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the youth and sports department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

- 1st place by number of awards was taken by sports club “KANKU” (30 medals – 11 gold, 9 silver, 10 bronze)
- 2nd place – Lviv Regional Federation of Kyokushin Karate (19 medals – 11 gold, 2 silver, 6 bronze)
