Lviv Athletes Triumph at Tournament in Poland

Athletes from Lviv region achieved high results at the international Taekwon-Do ITF tournament — “Mazovia Masters Cup”.

The 19th International Taekwon-Do ITF tournament took place on October 25–26 in Ciechanow, Poland. It is one of the most prestigious starts of the autumn competitive season. The competition gathered almost 600 participants from six countries: Georgia, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Ukraine. The Ukrainian team took first place in the overall team standings.

Our athletes won 25 gold, 18 silver, and 20 bronze medals. Lviv was represented by 1 coach and 6 athletes. They achieved the following results: Iryna Mukha — 1st place in sparring, 1st place — tul, 3rd place — special technique; Nadiya Mukanova — 2nd place in sparring; Vladyslav Sych — 3rd place in sparring; Dariy Pikh — 3rd place in sparring. Iryna Mukha also became the best female athlete of the competition.

The tournament was held under the aegis of Taekwon-Do Polska, TKD LIVE, Polski Komitet Sportów Nieolimpijskich, the International Taekwon-Do Federation, and with the support of the Taekwon-Do M.F.T. Federation of Ukraine. “The international tournament in Poland is also an important stage of preparation for the 2026 European Championship, which will take place in Maribor (Slovenia),” said Roman Khimiak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
