Lviv Athletes Triumph at the Ukrainian Wrestling Championship
The Ukrainian Wrestling Championship among junior boys and girls under 17 years (U17) took place from March 5 to 7 in Chernivtsi. A total of 426 athletes from 23 teams across various regions of Ukraine participated in the competition. Lviv region was represented by 46 athletes.
Competition Results
“As a result of the competition, the junior girls from Lviv region took the first team place, while the junior boys showed the fourth result,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Medals for Lviv Region Junior Boys:
- 🥉3rd place – VOLYMYR YATEL in the weight category up to 45 kg
- 🥉3rd place – KIRIL NAHIRNYI in the weight category up to 51 kg
- 🥈2nd place – IVAN BEZUHLYI in the weight category up to 55 kg
- 🥇1st place – IVAN ZALISKO in the weight category up to 65 kg
- 🥉3rd place – MARKIYAN GRYNIIV in the weight category up to 65 kg
- 🥉3rd place – TYMOFIY TRYNTCHUK in the weight category up to 110 kg

- 🥈2nd place – ANASTASIIA VERSTYN in the weight category up to 43 kg
- 🥈2nd place – ANASTASIA KOZAKOVA in the weight category up to 46 kg
- 🥉3rd place – SONIA SENDETSKA in the weight category up to 46 kg
- 🥈2nd place – YULIIA HOLHOVSKA in the weight category up to 53 kg
