At the World Cup in Wheelchair Fencing “Zsolt Kaposvári Memorial”, held in Budapest, athletes from Lviv region won four medals. This was reported by the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Andriy Demchuk took second place in the team sabre and won in the individual sabre competitions. Natalia Morkvych won two bronze medals: in the individual foil and sabre competitions.
Both wheelchair fencers represent the Lviv Regional Centre “Invasport”. Among their greatest achievements are medals from the Paralympic Games. Andriy won gold in 2016, while Natalia has three silver medals from the 2020 and 2024 Paralympics.
