Lviv Athletes Achieve Victories at the Summer Judo Universiade
From March 29 to 31, the XX Summer Universiade of Ukraine in Judo took place in Khmelnytskyi. The competition featured about two hundred athletes from 36 higher education institutions across 14 regions.
Successes of Lviv Students
The Lviv team was represented by 47 athletes from the following institutions:
- Lviv Polytechnic National University
- Ukrainian National Forestry University (UNFU of Ukraine)
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
- Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Bobersky
- Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University – LNMU
- Lviv State University of Internal Affairs
The winners of the competition were:
- 🥇 1st place in the 73 kg weight category – Moloshyk Danylo, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
- 🥇 1st place in the 100 kg weight category – Davydchuk Yaroslav, Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after I. Bobersky
- 🥇 1st place in the 70 kg weight category – Tsymko Olga, Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after I. Bobersky
- 🥈 2nd place in the 81 kg weight category – Tsisar Bohdan, Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after I. Bobersky
- 🥉 3rd place in the 60 kg weight category – Zhoghan Vladyslav, Lviv Polytechnic National University
- 🥉 3rd place in the 90 kg weight category – Mykhaliuk Yaroslav, Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after I. Bobersky
- 🥉 3rd place in the 48 kg weight category – Benedzytska Mariya, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs
- 🥉 3rd place in the +78 kg weight category – Koldun Yulia, Lviv Polytechnic National University
Overall Team Results
Among the 36 higher education institutions, Lviv State University of Physical Culture and Sports named after Ivan Bobersky took the 3rd place in the overall team standings.
Among Category 1 universities on the podium:

Among Category 3 universities on the podium:
- 🥇 1st place – Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
- 🥈 2nd place – Lviv Polytechnic National University
