The European Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe Championships for juniors and U23s concluded in Romania, where representatives from Lviv region won several top awards.
Yelyzaveta Voznyuk, representing the Anatoliy Didukh Youth Sports School, became a three-time European champion. She achieved 1st place in junior canoe single for 500 m, 1st place in canoe single for 200 m and 1st place in canoe double for 200 m.
Volodymyr Savchyn from the Specialized Olympic Reserve Youth Sports School ‘Veslyarik’ won 1st place in U23 canoe single for 500 m and 2nd place in U23 mixed canoe four for 500 m.
The Ukrainian team also included athletes from Lviv region: Markiyan Mahyr, Oleksandr Brezitskyi, Pavlo Kupchynskyi, Sofiia Potsurko, and Vitaliy Bratash. Overall, the Ukrainian team won 14 medals and secured 2nd place in the team standings.
